How To Make Swiss Cheese Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 450 gram Emmentaler or Appenzell Cheese
  • 450 gram Gruyere Cheese
  • 4 Small glass White Wine
  • 3 oz. Small glass Kirsch
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • 4 clove Garlic
  • 4 loaf French Bread

Directions:

Grate all of the cheese. Sprinkle flour on cheese and mix.

Rub garlic cloves on side of fondue pot. Turn on the heat and wait until pot becomes warm. If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, the cloves can remain in the pot.

Add the glasses of wine (dry) to the pot and quickly stir in the cheese, adding a little at a time. don't allow the wine to heat too much.

Stir in remaining cheese gradually (a handful at a time) while stirring continuously.

Cheese mixture should become creamy. If the cheese becomes separated, add a little more flour to a glass of wine and then add a small bit of the wine to the mixture in the pot.

Break bread into manageable pieces and enjoy!
